Supplemental Material

To teach students to design and build business applications using database management systems.
Students learn how to design databases using data normalization.
Students learn how to write queries in SQL.
Students learn how to build forms, reports, and applications.
Students are introduced to database transactions and processing.

Database administration with focus on management problems and decision support issues; database design; normalization of data.

Fundamental cases and exercises are detailed in the textbook. The specific assignments are listed in the following table.

Attendance is the responsibility of the student. Historically, students who miss several classes tend to receive one grade lower than other students.

I will give "make-up" exams only in the case of emergencies. The student is responsible for notifying me before the scheduled test.

Assignments are due at class time on the specified date. Late assignments might not be accepted and can be penalized 10% per day. No assignments will be accepted after May 1.

If I find assignments that are copies of each other, all students involved will receive a zero for the assignment.
