8. Use salary surveys and advertisements to find the cost of typical MIS workers in your region. If you start a company and need to hire 5 MIS employees, estimate the annual cost. If you need to hire someone to create custom software on a contract basis and you estimate it will take six months to create, what is the estimated cost of hiring someone?
9. Find a patent and describe to the rest of the class why you think it is too broad. Hint: Many cases exist in opinions/commentary but check http://www.uspto.gov.
